Some of Australia’s most prominent female and non-binary musicians are getting together for a retreat to tackle climate change.
Hosted by Women’s Environmental Leadership Australia (WELA) and Green Music Australia (GMA), Sound Country Women Artist’s Retreat aims to provide eco-friendly solutions for sustainable touring, and discuss important topics like First Nations leadership and how climate change is affecting Australia.
Some of the retreat’s powerhouse lineup includes Angie McMahon, Alice Skye, Kira Puru, Kee’ahn, Peppa Lane of Spacey Jane, and Beatrice Lewis of Haiku Hands.
Sound Country Women Artist’s Leadership Retreat will take place later this month in lutruwita (Tasmania), and is just the beginning of what we hope will be a new generation of leaders taking on the challenge of a lifetime.
