Brisbane’s Mekka Fest Returns For 2023

Mekka Fest is back for 2023. Brisbane’s Doomben Racecourse will be the place to be on Saturday, August 19th, and with the first glimpse of the lineup announced, it’s clear that Mekka Fest is not playing around.

The Jungle Giants, Brisbane’s indie-pop darlings, will be taking centre stage as the headliner of the festival. The group’s infectious sound and electrifying live shows have earned them a devoted fan base across Australia, and they’re sure to bring the energy to Mekka Fest.

Joining The Jungle Giants is local rapper Lisi, who has been making waves in the Australian hip-hop scene, and Brissie EDM act Odd Mob, who are sure to get the crowd moving. To top it all off, Murray Cook, the original Red Wiggle himself, will be bringing his DJ skills to the festival.

This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with four stages of the best DJs and bands that Brisbane has to offer. Last year’s Mekka Fest was a huge success, while organisers have yet to confirm whether this year’s event will feature live racing, one thing is for sure – Mekka Fest is not to be missed.
